In our strategy projects, we discuss and evaluate sales options: Is it worthwhile to have your own shop or, as a first step, is distribution via national and international marketplaces such as Amazon, real or others the more worthwhile option?
All ecom consulting consultants are or were managers, directors, board members, professors or founders and we know the operational responsibility from our own experience. No matter whether it means opening up new markets or target groups, rethinking IT and process landscapes or changing the corporate organisation and culture: We know how easy all this sounds on (power point) paper and how challenging it is in corporate reality. This has always been the case, but digitalisation has added another dimension. We are convinced that strategy and technology must go hand in hand nowadays. At the same time, this means that “consulting” must redefine itself if it wants to provide real benefits. That is our motivation and that is why we promise our clients two core services “hands-on consulting” and “experiential knowledge”.
At ecom consulting, managers advise with experience and we want to be quite honest here: experience also means, or especially, having made mistakes ourselves. In addition to many years of experience in strategy development and implementation, we also bring in the knowledge component. Namely, knowledge in the form of technological competence, and we don’t mean learned buzzword knowledge here, but well-founded knowledge from IT conception and programming. About half of our team has IT expertise and also feels comfortable in the spheres of system architecture and source code. Our understanding of consulting is a participatory approach: we want to be a partner at eye level – from entrepreneurs for entrepreneurs!
